Keys 2 Pro no audio through iPad

Hi,
Just received a new Keys 2 Pro and I cannot get any audio through the iPad only the 3.5mm headphone jack on the keyboard.
We have a Keys 1 which plays the audio from the keyboard through the iPad speaker, the Keys 2 does not.
I have tried with a few apps and cannot get keyboard audio through iPad speaker, it is connected via the lighting - usb cable cable.

This is an iOS feature/limitation. Once an audio interface is plugged in, the audio will route through it and not the iOS device speakers. This is covered in the IK FAQ at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1284 (even though this is not an IK-specific issue, it is iOS's design).
