Axe I/O, Amplitube and BOSS RC500

Postby atarchin » Wed Mar 26, 2025 9:24 am

Hello, I am trying to find the right way to connect Axe I/O, Amplitube and the BOSS RC500 looper. My main use case is practicing, but I could end up using the looper live.

Right now, I have my guitar in "Instrument Input 1" and the RC500 in "Instrument input 2"; it apparently works, but prevents from playing duo.

Thanks.

Guitar → Axe I/O Instrument Input 1
Connect your guitar to the Axe I/O's Instrument Input 1. This allows you to utilize AmpliTube for amp modeling and effects processing.

Axe I/O Output 2 (FX Send) → RC-500 Input A
Use Output 2 from the Axe I/O to send the processed signal to the RC-500's Input A. This setup ensures that the looper receives the signal post-AmpliTube [Mod edit: suspicious link has been removed; posting further such links can lead to a ban from this forum] effects.

RC-500 Output A → Axe I/O Input 2 (FX Return)
Connect Output A of the RC-500 to Input 2 on the Axe I/O. This configuration allows you to loop your performance and send it back into the Axe I/O for further processing or monitoring.

Axe I/O Output 1 → Audio Interface or Amplifier
Finally, route the signal from Output 1 to your audio interface or amplifier for playback.
