AXE I/O As a standalone Preamp

HI im looking to buy a DI box and was thinking about buying the Z-tone, I have seen that the AXE I/O carry most of the features of the Z-Plane. My question is: Can the Axe I/O One function as a standalone preamp without connecting it to a computer? I use another audio interface and would just use the DI options.Also, can it be powered by usb power from a separate usb hub?

Hi, AXE I/O functions as an audio interface so it must be connected to a compatible device as audio interface in order to work. You can use Z-TONE DI for this purpose.

this is also something i want to try. i need a new interface with 4 preamps but i also don't want to miss the 1st input with the Z-tone. would you please post your experience if you try it.
