Amplitube 5 feedback issue but NOT TONEX app

I've been using the same setup for years and never had any issues with Amplitube. I am using a new computer, but the ssetup with software etc is the same as my older computer. When I launch AmpliTube I can't get a guitar tone just feedback. Horrendous feedback. Yet I can open up the TONEX app and play through it with no issues at all.

Hoping someone can offer a suggestion for a fix since this means I can't use in my DAW.

never mind. I are a numbskull. Forget to check that the correct input device was set, hence all the feedback and nothing working
