TONEX CAB - Dead on Arrival

Massive disappointment today as my pre-order Tonex cab showed up DOA (purchased straight from IKM website). No light, won't turn on, literally nothing when you toggle the power switch.

Power outlets work fine for all other gear.

I can't imagine I'm the only one.

Hopefully not a common issue. I noticed that site is having issues today (first time I've had a connection issue ever), hope it's not because of overwhelmed support contact causing connection lags... mine is due tomorrow, I will update my experience...

My 2 showed up today. Powered up with no issues. I didn't get my 2 extra grill cloths though. Is there some sort of delay to receive these that anyone is aware of?

This isn't a common issue, the site issues are not related and our IT staff are on that. The forum and main site seem to be working very well now but I haven't seen a report of everything so I'm not sure if everything is 100% yet.

Our Support Manager has reached out to OP and we'll take care of this. Apologies for the inconvenience, OP.

Unfortunately the grilles were not received with the initial TONEX Cab shipments, but they are expected to ship ASAP in June.

Thanks Peter for the update. Hope OP's issues are solved without delay. My experience with IK support has been great, no matter how big or small the issue. Can't wait until tomorrow!

Got mine today and it also will not turn on.

Tried to create a ticket and IK website keeps timing out, the third time I tried it seems like it went through. I didn't receive a ticket number through the site or email, should I get one through email.

EDIT: I did receive an email with the ticket number.

Got mine today and it turned on. I have not tried playing through it yet as I was having trouble registering because of the continuing IK connection issues. I was also trying to purchase the Arc studio unit but cannot for the same reason. I'll update after trying out cab...

Update: replacement unit arrived today. Only tested at low bedroom levels (hope to crank it up tomorrow) but happy to report this one does actually turn on.

You can see by my post stamps, this was handled promptly which I appreciate.

Received my two TONEX Cabs a few days ago and finally got a chance to set them up today. First one was DOA (no power, light, etc.). Second one seems to power up fine. I just put in a support request through IK website to get a replacement.

Kinda wish I would have went through Sweetwater, as replacement would be much easier.

I just got e-mail response from IK incorrectly identifying it as TONEX Pedal and asking me for a bunch of pictures of proof of purchase, physical damage/error codes, what part needs replacement etc. Also requesting that I register it. I'm guessing it's just their boilerplate response and they didn't even look at what I wrote in my ticket submission. Will try responding to e-mail and see what happens.

@bjmusico - there was an issue that caused that confusion, our Support Manager is aware and has taken your ticket over. We have replaced the few units with issues very quickly, so you won't regret purchasing from us as we will take care as fast or faster than a dealer.

Thanks Peter, just saw the updated e-mail from support manager! Excellent response and I retract my previous comment :) . Will work directly with them to get replacement.

My second TONEX Cab seems fine, and will be putting it through its paces tonight.
