It gives me the option to apply JamPoints when checking out, but it tells me I've exceeded the maximum 30% value no matter what number I enter. Is that because the $49.99 price is already considered promotional? If so, IK might want to hide this option when it can't be applied to avoid confusion.

JamPoints cannot be applied to promotional or introductory priced items under $/€99.
From
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints/JamPoints™ are redeemable only in the IK Online Store, and they can be applied to any current product in the store, excluding sales items on promotion for $/€99 or less, or items offered at an introductory price of $/€99 or less.
