Tonex - no sound

I have the Axe I/0 bundle (works fine with AmpliTube 5 on a 2012 Mac) and just installed Tonex. However, I do not get any sound or input.
Audio Settings are set to AXE IO, Input 1, Output AXE IO.
Input 6 db, Output 3.2. No sign of input.
Monitor to the right: no sound at all.
Switching to AmpliTube 5: There is processed sound.

During installation there was a question if I want to use the internal mic of my MacBook. I declined (I never will use this mic, and I had some feedback issues in AmpliTube 5).
Could this be the problem? And if so, how to solve?

Audio-Demo does work. So there is output.
When I click "Modeler" I get: "Modeler is not available in this version of Tonex"...
I have version 1.1.6.
Of course I use Tonex in the standalone application.

It is the internal microphone setting (problem with Catalina):
"Despite it asking for Microphone permissions, the access it allows for is audio input. This is required for apps such as AmpliTube and ARC System. If you aren't getting any audio input, this may be exactly why."

I now do get an input signal (via OS settings). But I still get "Modeller is not available in this version of Tonex".
IK Support did not answer since Monday.
How to detect the version of Tonex I have?

I've updated to Mac Sonoma and have the same issues here. No sound and no access to modeler/librarian besides products are registered and authorized on IK Product Manager
