Why are so many of the presets clipped?

Not a big deal but frustrating having to go thru all the clipped presets and reduce level. One could say its as easy as attenuating the master out, but then in a lot of cases the bus or channels themselvs could still be clipping. I havent had a chance to test and see how much of an effect this would have on the sound (i assume none due to float point processing) but still... seems a bit uncharacteristic of proper engineering technique.

It might have to do with the interface the person creating the preset was using and/or other system-specific factors. We find this happens with some of the artists - we can see from what they provide us along the way that these are perfectly normal levels in their setups with their DAW, interface, etc, but they may be different when we audition them and/or when users audition them. As with any presets, it is best to tweak once you are using them in your specific setup.
