Activation Problems - Amplitube 4 Max [Resolved]

Postby Momo1992 » Sun Feb 02, 2020 1:00 pm

Hey folks :),

i have following problem. I bought a Amplitube 4 Max License from another user.
He sent me the serial key and his license transfer code.

I tried to activate Amplitube 4 Max in the Authorization Manager but following error message shows up "Serial number inserted is not eligible for a Crossgrade/Upgrade product (405)".

I contacted the support a few days ago but unfortunately i haven't received a response yet

Maybe I can find some help here :)

My current IK - Multimedia products (Maybe helpful for the solution):
- AmpliTube Custom Shop
- SampleTank 2 XL
- T-RackS 5 Custom Shop
- Syntronik Free
- SampleTank Custom Shop

Hello ImMomo0912 and welcome to the forum.

As you have ST2 XL I would think that the AT4 MAX Crossgrade would apply for you. But maybe ST2 XL does not qualify. Have a look in your User Area / crossgrades section to set what is available to you.
To qualify for a Crossgrade to another product, you must be registered with a paid version of another IK Multimedia product over $/€ 99 or higher.

The Seller does not send you the Licence Transfer code, he uses it in his own IKM Account to initiate the transfer. Please have a look at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?search=transfer

If he has done that then get his IKM User Account name so that Support who can look at his Account and yours and see what's going on. Administrators and Moderators here cannot access your Account.

@DarkStar

thank you for the quick response :)

The User Area says "No crossgrade/upgrade eligibility at this time".

Maybe I need the Amplitube 4 Standard Version to activate my Max license...

If the AT4 MAX licence is an Upgrade/Crossgrade then you will need a Qualifying product. but that need not be AT4 Standard version.

Ok, it's a crossgrade version :D (the previous user forgot to tell me that).

Is it possible to activate my license when i get the "Amplitube Fender Collection 2"?
I've noticed that Amplitube Max only contains the first Fender Collection.

First of all, check with Support about why ST2 XL is not a Qualifying Product. And I would ask them to confirm that "AmpliTube Fender Collection 2" is a Qualifying Product and is not included in AT4 MAX.

Looking at its price (149.99) it should be but double-check with Support.

If it then I reckon that you should be able to Register / Authorise Fender Collection 2, then the AT4 MAX Crossgrade.

I've had someone look into this briefly and note that SampleTank 2 XL is not on that account. That may be part of the problem, perhaps it is registered on a different account?

Ok, it works now!
I bought the "Fender Collection 2" and
after the registration of the Fender Collection
i was able to activate the AmpliTube Max license.

Don't really know about the SampleTank 2 XL license. It seems to be registered on my account cause it works without any problems on my system.
I activated an old Total Studio 3 license a few days ago. Maybe there is the problem... Anyway. Anything works now :)

Thank you very very much for the help guys :)
