Amplitube Keyboard?

Postby puranon » Mon Oct 03, 2011 10:17 pm

AT3 is perfectly suited to go beyond Guitar AMPs and Stomps. The excellent AT3 Leslies are an example of what it is capable of.

Suggestion for future models:
- A028 Preamp from Hammond B3 Organ
- Preamp and Power AMP from Fender Rhodes Suitcase Piano
- Variety of Leslie Speakers

Thanks for these suggestions. We especially like ones like this that are outside the box. :)

It would make a nice small Amplitube package similar to Fender and SVX

You could add Speakers for Mellotron MK1, MK2, Mk2 FX Console
in addition to Leslies, B3 and Suitcase Piano Preamps.

Great idea!

I actually play my keys through AmpliTube from time to time, but surprisingly such idea never came into my mind ;)

I have occasionally twiddled the stock software organ presets in GarageBand to run through Amplitube in search of a Jon-Lord-esque vibe. :) I work with a guy who has some old analogue synth, and we sometimes pipe that through Amplitube as well.

I've no idea what setups Jon Lord has used over the years, but I would suppose Marshall Majors were on tap "back in the day". Maybe the PA version, or with PA cabs? Oh well. A Marshall Major would be a nice addition to Amplitube anyway. :)

We have (there are samples in SampleTank) and we obviously had a rotary speaker from one as evidenced by the rotary in AmpliTube 3. Considering we model actual gear that we have in our possession that we can actually take apart, measure, analyze, etc, we have had a B3 or two in our possession for sure.

Slash is an example of where to go with this. A package does not need to have a million modules.

A028 Preamp from Hammond B3 Organ

Variety of Leslie Speakers

Ring Modulator Stomp

Wurlitzer Speaker

Rhodes Suitcase Preamp and Power Amp

We couldn't tell you even if there was but at this point there isn't. AmpliTube is great on keyboards, Sonic Reality's Dave Kerzner talks about it in this interview he did for Keyboard Magazine (there's video) with some guy named Alan Parsons ;) http://www.keyboardmag.com/article/alan ... ect/149974
