Been experimenting with some ambient signal paths in AT4. It's very interesting how the sounds can change if you place the typical ambient go-to's like delay, chorus and reverb as a stomp, inserted before the amp and as a rack after the amp and cab. I am liking after the Amp and cab option the best. I am still experimenting with adding 'shimmer' to my ambient sound creations and haven't really come up with anything I like to-date. I have AT4 MAX, so I have most all effects at my disposal - still working through all of them in detail.
I'd be interested in seeing what others have come up with to create ambient signal chains and adding shimmer to the whole mix.
(I wish I had anything good to share [patches], but I don't as of yet, I am still too new to creating ambient sounds in AT4.)
