AMPLITUBE 4 POPPING AND CLICKING

I JUST GOT A NEW INTERFACE,A FOCUSRITE SCARLETT 2i2...WHEN I PLUGGED INTO AMPLITUBE 4,IT WAS FULL OF POPS AND CLICKS....I HAVE THE BUFFER SET AS HIGH AS IT WILL GO..THE POPPING GOT BETTER,BUT IT ONLY WORKS ON NUMBER 1...IF YOU SELECT ANY OF THE OTHER NUMBERS,FOR THE DIFFERENT ROUTING OPTIONS,THE CPU METER MAXES OUT,AND ITS JUST NOISE COMING THRU....IT NEVER DID THIS ON MY OLD LINE6 SONIC PORT....I EVEN DOWNLOADED BIAS AMP,AND IT WORKS FINE WITH IT....ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

Firstly, please can you refrain from typing in capitals as it is very difficult to read (and is often perceived as someone shouting, which I’m sure you’re not )

I guess my first question/piece of advice, as always, is have you installed the most up-to-date drivers for the Scarlett for your operating system?

Sorry about the caps...I am using a MacBook Pro,High Sierra 10.13.1....my understanding is that if you are using a Mac,you don’t need to download drivers...I couldn’t find any ....I had to turn the buffer up to 1012,or whatever the highest setting is.....now it is just intermittent pops and clicks.....but if you try to use one of the dual amp routing options,it’s just complete white noise......I was previously using a Line 6 Sonic PortVX as an interface....it worked fine...It just didn’t have a volume control on it,so that is why I bought the Focusrite Scarlett....

You’re correct; the 2i2 should be class compliant on a Mac so there aren’t any specific drivers. I guess I presumed you were on Windows.

Are you routing both the input and output through the Scarlett? If you are, then I think this is something specific to your set up and so you’re probably best to request help from the official support team. Follow the link http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ and open a ticket.

Maybe someone will pop up that has had the same issue, but I’d get the ball rolling with the IK Support team as well if I were you.

Yeah,I opened a support ticket yesterday...waiting to hear back from them...it is very odd..why would one interface work with no problem and the other not so much...I also downloaded a free copy of Bias Amp,just to see if it would work with that....and it did...but I already have money tied up in Amplitube 4,and I like it better than anything else I have tried...

It is weird. The fact that Bias Amp worked fine kind of suggests that it’s a problem with AmpliTube not the Scarlett, but then you’ve got the Line 6 that works with AmpliTube.

Scratching my head on this one, hopefully Support will reply soon.
