Hi frequency tone with HI Gain Amp captures?

Postby WilliamBlades13 » Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:04 pm

I'm compiling a capture pack with all my collection of amplifiers. On some capture I had to delete them because they have a high frequency pitch that appears when I stop playing. The sound from the capture is fantastic and this "noise" appears when I load the capture and dissapears when I strummed the guitar but comes back when the playing stops. Sounds like a 800-1k signal generator tone.
Capturing really hi gain amps I found this happening on occasion and when I re do the capture , sometimes it's gone and sometimes it appears . I understand Capturing really hi gain is tricky and a lot of the captures I've tried on tone net sound dull & lacking. I've been Super Successful on most of my amp captures with the TONEX CAPTURE UNIT. Im getting the sound my amps produce and they don't sound dull. The only problem is that frequency popping up here and there and there's no way to tell until you've waited a few hours for the render. On really high gain settings I will get the pop up box stating there's extra noise but I ground that common. The noise is just noise but the tone I'm talking about is different than noise. It's like an internal feedback. Just one tone. One continuous pitch.
I was wondering if there could be an update to let us know when there is extra frequencies between the originally played training notes. Sometimes I'm waiting hours to render, get the green check mark, go to my system only to find I have a high frequency tone riding beneath the capture. It's not a squeal, more of a tone that sounds like a signal generator going into an oscilloscope. If we can know that there is extra tones appearing and if the program can detect this and let us know?
I'm wondering if that's why most hi gain ap captures I've tried sound a lil subdued and tame. Maybe even "dull" compared to the real amp. On my captures they are sounding like the real amps but this tone that sometimes appeared, I wish there was a pop up box letting me know that particular capture is faulty and sensing some kind of feedback or oscillations in between the notes.
Out of 150 captures this happened maybe a dozen times causing me to delete the capture. At several hours a capture this ends up a lot of time wasted that maybe can be alleviated with an update to let us known if the capture will be faulty. .
Tonex is my preferred system and I been Loving the results. It's offered the best sounding and feeling catures I've tried. Especially good on hi gain amplifiers!
