I have the Tonex Pedal and am setting up for use in a gigging situation in the FX loop of an HX Effects.
To try and smooth out EQ differences between patches, I'm trying to follow advice I saw about using a common Cab model or IR across difference amp models I might use in the gig.
I am trying to figure out what happens when I change the Cab setting using the editor for combo models that I've downloaded.
When you download and use a Combo model or one of the stock combo models, is the model essentially divided into two parts (amp and cab) such that you can edit either part independently - such as using a different cab model? If not, what is happening when I change the Cab setting in the editor? Is it passing the signal through the downloaded combo model and then through the editor-selected Cab - essentially putting two cabs in series?
Any advice on the best approach here?
