I'm unable to start the looper in AT5 with an external pedal. I'm going thru a Helix LT, and have plugged in a Boss FS-5U pedal. Helix recognizes the pedal, but AT on my PC does not see the pedal. I've used the Control options and tried to "learn" the pedal when I step on it. I've also tried a Boss GT-001 as my interface, with the same external pedal. No success. Can anyone help?

That Boss pedal is not a MIDI pedal, so AT5 won't work with it. You need something that can send MIDI CC messages.

Can you suggest a couple cheap midi pedals that will work with AT5?

In your original post you say you're going through a Helix LT. I think you can actually program that to send MIDI CC messages. To do that, I think you need to use the PC editor that Line 6 offers. I don't have a Helix (I use a FCB1010), so I'm not certain of this.
