Uno Synth Pro X Vst not working....

So on windows the stand alone seems to work sometimes, unless i plug the power lead in, then it doesn't work anymore. and in Bitwig the midi output option is just red and the editor/vst just says "waiting for Uno...." now whats astonishing to me is that I have found posts dating back to 2018 talking about the same issues with the earlier uno.....whats up with that? is there fix so that it actually works in a daw? is do these just now work in the daw, im trying to figure out if this needs to go back or now.

IK Support can assist you directly. I'm also having this issue.

- If I close Ableton, and use the standalone editor, I can get it to connect
- If I use the VST inside Ableton, I see "Waiting for Uno"
- The "Midi Output" setting cannot be set to "UNO Synth Pro X" unless I completely disable the UNO Synth Pro X as a midi controller inside Ableton
- When it can be selected (after disabling Ableton's connection to the UNO Synth Pro X) it still says "Waiting for Uno"

This makes it impossible for me to use the editor while Ableton is running, which is really the only time I'd want to use it - since I'm sending MIDI via Ableton to the synth.

I've also sent this to support, waiting for a response.

Same issue here, the standalone app work perfectly, but the VST inside Live is showing "waiting for UNO".

Judging by the fact that people were having this issue in September and I just got one on Friday with this same issue, they have not fixed the problem. Weird. Support ticket filed.

Just got Uno Pro X and struggled with connection inside Ableton. It worked stand alone but didn't as a plugin inside Ableton. It just stayed on "waiting for connection" state forever.

I made it work but I have no Idea what helped, because now it works every time without any additional steps (I just drag plugin on midi track - earlier today it didn't work, didn't connect).

What I did:

1. Connected Uno Pro X via USB and enabled it in Ableton (as a track - both in and out in midi preferences).

2. Loaded Native Instruments Kontrol on only one midi track that I had (deleted all other tracks). My thinking was that perhaps Kontrol doesn't block connection with Midi outside normal Ableton flow. And loaded Uno Pro X vst3 plugin inside it.

3. It didn't work.

4. But I added additional midi track and set as midi source the track as the track with Kontrol and selected Kontrol plugin (it's a combo where you can select pre, post but if you click, there is Kontrol plugin) and as a send I selected Uno Synth Pro X (that I connected via USB)

5. I added additional midi track that send all midi from UNO Pro X port to the first midi track (I figured that it might help).

6. I opened Komplete plugin and - wow, I started to see loading of presets. It works!

7. But then I thought, perhaps it's not Komplete, but those midi tracks helps. I deleted Komplete plugin and loaded UNO Pro X vst3 plugin on the track, that used to have Komplete plugin on it. And it also works.

8. And here the kicker. I restarted Ableton and loaded the plugin again - I tried to recreate the midi track setup from scratch. But it works now. IDK what happened, but perhaps it might help you guys.
