Trying to get cv/gate in on uno synth pro desktop

I’m trying to sync my uno pro to external clock from a mother 32 -followed instructions but no luck- any help appreciated

It transpires that the uno doesn’t like mono leads -I tried a stereo TRS and it worked !!
