It appears to me that when using MODO Bass 2 with Logic Pro, with an articulation set loaded, the first articulation of that set acts as a default articulation, and is applied to every note that doesn't have any other articulation assigned to it.
This means for example that for a given track, when an articulation set is loaded in which the first articulation is "Slap" (Keyswitch F#0), then every note on that track which has no other articulation assigned to it is played in Slap style. This isn't documented anywhere that I can see, but it seems to be true.
Assuming that's true, then my question is: how can I switch over to another style of playing (e.g., from the default of slap to, say, finger style) for just one section of a song? One way is to assign the finger style articulation (Keyswitch C#0) to every note of the section. But that seems kind of cumbersome, and it also precludes assigning other articulations within that section.
The "Latch" field in MODO Bass 2 Control window is disabled for Finger, Pick, and Slap, so I don't see a way to just "switch over" from one playing style to another. Is there in fact a way to do this?
Also note that assigning a null/empty articulation as the first item in an articulation set results in dropped notes whenever an explicit articulation is assigned to a note. Using an articulation set really seems to require a specific articulation as the first item of the set.
