Hey all!
Over the years I have used/installed most of the IKM products to use. I recently purchased a new laptop that I am dedicating to nothing but music production. (Super fast, 64gig of ram and a 2TB drive). My question revolves around efficiency.
Has anyone installed everything offered by IKM on one machine and figured out an efficient method for having everything on there without running into errors during installation or duplication of programs/parts of programs? And I am not kidding when I say "everything". I went a little nuts during the anniversary bulk buy and bought pretty much everything that was available at the time. (SampleTank, Syntronik, Miroslav Philharmonic, MODO Drum, MODO Bass, Tonex, Amplitube, T-Racks, Mix Box, Hammond B-3X, Lurssen Mastering Console, Plus the majority of sound libraries for ST4, Syntronic, etc.) I do not want to run into issues once I start installing things where one program stops working because I installed something else.
On the laptop, there are certain things I will install the SE version of and other instruments I would like to install the full version. (Some of that has to do with space on the system and some of that is just "I won't use the full install on a laptop.") I plan to install any FULL version that doesn't go on the laptop on my desktop I use for music. (I have 2 stations: desktop at home that I have most everything installed on and laptop that I use at band rehearsals for certain things along with creating on the fly.)
Any suggestions or pointers to things I can read that may explain a good way to do this would be appreciated. I have not installed this much software for music production in one shot yet.
TIA!! Have a great day!
