"Can't find data to install" message

Postby page391 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 12:15 am

I purchased and authorized all of my Group Buy products and I see everything that I purchased Now that I'm actually trying to install them with Product Manager, I'm getting a message that the data can't be found to complete the install. I also have a few prior purchases that have updates pending. Same no data message when I try to update those as well. Suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to hear about the problems you are running into.

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chip in. But please remember that the same symptoms do not necessarily mean the same problem.

Meanwhile, the best thing to do is Search the FAQs first, via here. If they do not resolve the issue, there is a red button link to the Technical Support form, for some one to one investigation and help. Response time aims to be within 2 working days (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally), but in the current circumstances please allow some more time.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the problem. Please do not quote directly any correspondence from Support, as that may apply only to your particular circumstances and may lead others down the wrong track.

Ik suggested the following and it worked. Trick was to open the Documents folder. Open the pending software titles and run the Installer from there. It worked. About 6 titles in I updated the general Custom Shop and that must have been the real issue, as the remaining installs happened as designed!

I am glad that Support was able to help.

To help others with a similar-looking problem, can you let us know which libraries installed OK and which caused problems?

I'll guess that some in the individual installers still installed the "old" (vV1.something). But, even so, that should not cause problems for installing other products.
