Jam Points expiration

Has anyone got a good understanding of how accumulated Jam Points expire? I earned my first Points almost two years ago and have since bought other products using redeemed Points in the meantime. When I look back at my account, it still shows those first points set to expire next month, but I guess I assumed that the oldest points were used first and that I had no points at risk of expiring. Anyone know how this works?

JamPoints™ expire after 24 months at the end of the quarter. On the JamPoints™ page in your User Area, it displays when your JamPoints™ were generated.
