No on/off Button on ARC STUDIO

Postby Robertweizee » Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:30 pm

I've just purchased the Arc Studio and noticed the lack of an on/off button. When not in use, does it consume a lot of current? Or does that only happen when in use?

Can one put a power switch between the Arc's power brick and the power outlet, or can that potentially harm the unit? I'd rather not leave equipment on when I'm not at home.

Thanks for any info!

Same question. I've been pushing the "Correction Bypass" when I leave the studio, but obviously the unit is still on an warm when I return.

What is the "best practice" for ARC Studio when not in use?
Thanks!

I would've thought unplugging the unit would be the ideal way to save power.

Same question. Would be nice to get a response from IK. The box gets fairly warm. Unplugging the unit seems like a wonky workaround, especially when the unit is installed in a hard-to reach place in the studio and the power supply is buried behind the unit.

If you do not wish to leave ARC Studio on, you would either need to unplug it or use a power source/strip (I use a few rackmounted power strips with conditioning and some have switches for each outlet, even, for this reason and others in my studio) that is in a place where you can power it on or off easily.
