T-Racks Classic vs. T-Racks 5

What is the difference(if any) between T-Racks Classic and T-Racks 5 besides GUI ? I thought that T-Racks 5 was much better so I deleted T-Racks Classic but now I'm not sure.

Hi Garfy,
It's T-Racks CS Version 4.10.0 The presets are exactly the same as TR5. I was just wondering if there was any difference in either the sound quality, sound characteristics, functionality, or features because I was under the impression that TR5 was just an update with modern graphics instead of the retro look of TR CS. In your opinion, what don't they have in common ?

In that case, yes, it has been improved.

There is a new audio engine for higher quality, support for higher sample rates and bit depths, additional dither options, better metering, additional modules. It's not just a cosmetic overhaul.

I'm curious to know where you were given the impression that T-RackS 5 was merely a cosmetic update? Note that typically (and not just with IK) major release (not .x releases) are usually major updates and are rarely simple/cosmetic.

Peter,

I'm not sure how I came up with that idea. I guess unfamiliarity was the culprit. I stopped using it altogether when TR5 came out. I no longer had it on my computer. But recently I started using the trial version of Reaper and loaded it onto that. I just upgraded to Catalina on Saturday so I can't use it anymore anyway. I appreciate your quick responses.

No problem! I just wanted to be sure that any topics out there could be addressed if this was floating around somewhere. We're present at the major sources of plugin information etc anyway, so I figured we were covered

Thanks and you should be able to use T-RackS and other IK software in Catalina in the future though.
