Help with installing sounds via IK Product Manager

Postby Hordriss27 » Sat Dec 21, 2024 6:06 pm

I'm trying to get my sounds installed via IK Product Manager. I had my download path set as my standard downloads folder, and I was under the impression that once the sounds showed as installed, they would be installed in whatever path the program expected by default and I could then clear the downloads folder, however that seems to not be the case as once I cleared the downloads folder, they all showed as needing to be installed again.

What is the path I should set for these so the programs (Sampletank, Sampletron etc) knows where to look for the patches? I'm on Windows 11.

I have just done an update of Sampletron 2 and it also wanted to redownload the content.

In IK Product Manager’s settings, down the bottom, there is an option “Allow selection of custom path for sounds instruments”

On mine this is deselected.

When I did the content portion of the install of Sampletron 2, it installed the content in the location as set in the actual product I am installing (in my case S:\sampletank - yours will be different.

For all of my IKM products I have set a single location for the content.

I have never had any issues with KM products finding their respective content.

Thanks, it was ticked on mine and I think that may have been the issue.
