Instruments not responding to Release control?

For example, I am looking at 60s Pop Bass 1 in ST4 - the release control parameter has no effect in either envelope 1 or in envelope 2.

Can you use MIDI learn to map CCs to many parameters in ST4. They are not set up by default. The only ones that are set by default are the Macros 1 to 8, which are set to CC12 to CC18 respectively. By default, CC22 to CC24 are used for patch selection.

Of course, in your case, you could map CC72 to any patch's envelope release times. However, you are free to use any CC you like (avoiding the above)
