No audio in other apps when running ST3

I am running ST3 Custom Shop, in stand alone mode on windows 10 with asio4all drivers.
The problem is, when I start ST3 all other audio stops working? EG if I am playing an audio file in VLC or media player, if I start ST#, the audio stops (only ST3 works) and while ST3 is running no other audio works until I shut it down.

Any answers????

Hello willings and welcome to the forum.

Isn't that because ASIO4All (and many other ASIO drivers) can only service 1 application program at a time? So any program (not just ST3) that grabs the ASIO driver will block out others.
