Syntronik Presets

Hello all! I have dived into Syntronik with the latest promotion - all synths sound really good. One of the things I have noticed though is that there are not really many presets - some of the synths in both Syn1 and Syn2 mode only have 12-15 presets… am I doing something wrong or is that the way it is?

...just a thought - I am using Syntronik 2 CS and the promotion synths are going into that - is this what is limiting the presets - or do the synths come with their own presets and the version of Syntronik 2 is irrelevant?

Have you purchased a synth with the "group buy" promotion?

@oqpoil - yes I did. I now have 16 synths and only 80 presets? I have written to support to see if this is right. I am just wondering whether CS (which is the only version I had) is limiting this.

Have you specify where the Syntronik 2 sound library is stored on your hard disk?

Thanks - yes it is pointing to the library. All of the synth graphics show up and the presets that are there, play fine - so it is looking in the right place. Interestingly though - it does a rescan every time I open it.

Go to your Syntronik 2 folder => Instruments

Choose a folder synth name that you have purchased with group buy

Go to this folder and do a search for "*.st4i" or "*.st3i" if it's one of the 22 old/classic synth

Tell me the result, please

Here you go - thanks again for your help. As you can see - there are only a few presets in here for each synth...but they are .st4i - am I doing something stupid?!

you must install the sound content for all the synths that you have purchased with product manager, in the "Sounds" tab here

Hello, I have just taken the promotion of syntronic 2, I have bought the synthesizer, T-03, and I have chosen, the following synthesizers, I have installed them.
I get the same screen as you, I go to the sounds tab, and it says that they are installed. If I look at it they are installed in public documents.
it seems that everything is correct. but then I go to see how many sounds I have in the T-03 synthesizer and only 3 or 4 presets appear.
That is, through product manager it seems that everything is installed.
Then through the website, I go to my products, and I have to download the sounds. on a hard drive that I want. TRUE?

If I route syntronic to that hard drive, will more presets appear? or is it just those 3?


I have Syntronic CS.

Thanks @ cristiansaiz - so we are in exactly the same situation. I am now downloading the files as per product manager to my sample drive - so will let you know - they are big so I am assuming that is where the issue lies. It is not really intuitive to do it though - unless you are told - as it does say 'installed' inside the PM - and the synths open up with some presets there...

Maybe you had Syntronik 2 CS (And its library) installed previously?

Having said that, the IKPM should be smarter about checking what is installed (maybe look for the licence files).

Ok - now I have lots of presets - so it is the answer to download the sounds and point Syntronik at them. Looking forward to playing with it. Does it rescan on every boot?

Yes, like Darkstar said if you have previously installed Syntronik CS only, for install the synths/sounds you must choose "More options" and "Reinstall Library" for each synths in IK Product Manager
