I cant launch miroslav ph 2

Hello. I just bought this software this weekend. Never used it before.

I installed it through the IKM product manager. Wether i launch it stand alone or through cuebase, i get a DLL error. It says it cant load.. file\path\..philharmonik 2.vpa

How do i fix this?

I see that you have just joined this forum. Other users have run into this problem.

The cause is that the current version installer (v2..6) does not install all the necessary files (in particular that .vpa file)

On the IK Multimedia web site, go to your User Area / My Products/ Miroslav Philharmonik 2 and click [Past Releases]. Download the 2.0.5 installer and install that version 2manualy", no need to use the IK Product Manager for that.. Then try installing v2.0.6 again, using the IK Product Manage. That should sort it out.

Thank you so much. That seemed to work! But its an odd issue to have. Lets hope it gets patched.

I have the same problem. While the work around allowed me to launch the plug-in (VST3 or standalone) the sounds are missing.

The sounds are a separate installer from the software. You can use the IK Product Manager to install the sounds.

This should work:
-- Before you do, run the standalone Philharmonik program and set the desired sounds library folder in the Preference Settings. Then run the IKPM and install the sounds.
-- If you have already installed the sounds library, you can move it all to the folder specified in the Settings. Or change the folder in the Settings.

I am not certain but did I read something about installing SampleTank too?

That worked. In the plug-in under the options I set the the folder to the sound files downloaded separately. You do need to install SampleTank too before downloading the sound files.

Thanks. Following the 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 upgrade path solved the DLL/VST loading issue. Also, thank you all for pointing out the sound library download workflow.
