Missing File ERROR tho file exists in folder ST4 'knows'

I have ST4 samples on an external hard drive but ST4 isn't recognizing the location or existance of the samples; the folders are set to be scanned by ST4 and have been rescanned multiple times. The drive is functioning. Anyone recognize the reason for the error in the linked image?

The path expected by ST4 (taken from the instrument file) is not the same as the location on disk:
