I'm pretty much brand new to the world of virtual synths and plugins etc. I was doing some research earlier and stumbled into the current Audio Plugin Deals offer to get IK Multimedia's J-60 for free. Watched some YouTube videos of people using the J-60 (on Macs - I have a Mac Mini M1 OS is the brand new Ventura 13.4). I learned from other posts that the FREE J-60 will work with the FREE Syntronik 2 CS and that it can also work as a standalone. OK, that sounds great, count me in. I jumped through all the hoops, creating an account, downloading the Product Manager app, authorizing J-60 with the code provided in the email, downloading SampleTank 4 (I still don't know why I needed this one for everything else to work?), downloaded the Syntroniks 2 CS and J-60 "sounds" and installed everything.
The only apps that showed up were Custom Shop and SampleTank 4. Went back to IK Product Manager and decided I probably have to download Syntronik 2 for Syntronik 2 CS to work (?). The Syntronic 2 app now shows up and I can see and use the default free sounds. But the full working J-60 doesn't show up. I went into the control button of Syntronik 2, went to Library and clicked rescan all, but the full J-60 still doesn't show up. This is all very confusing and I have found very little helpful information ANYWHERE. It's been about 15yrs since I last dabbled in "soft synths" and it's like the whole world has turned upside down since then lol. It just doesn't seem like it should be THIS hard!
