I'm having a similar issue with 4.0.2 on my 64-bit Win 10 machine. When I select ASIO as my driver, ASIO4ALL loads on my taskbar but immediately displays a red exclamation mark and then crashes.

From there I can still select ASIO as my output, but again ASIO4ALL loads briefly but crashes.

I've reinstalled both Amplitube and ASIO4ALL and have done multiple restarts in between.

Amplitube 3 still works great on my machine.

I reported the problem to IK support but haven't received a reply yet.

An IK tech helped me figure this out.

Open Amplitube 3, then from there open the ASIO panel.
Close Amplitube 3, leaving the ASIO panel open.
Open Amplitube 4 and set your input and output devices in the ASIO panel.
Close the ASIO panel.

After that I am able to run Amplitube 4 with no trouble, although I get more latency with recording than I did with Amplitube 3. I'm not yet sure if it's the recording or the exporting that is adding latency.

That's interesting which version of AT 4 was this solution with? I was running ok with version 4.02 , as long as I didn't use anything but default sample rate...now with version 4.03 problem is back and I actually did a system restore and went back to version 4.02 to fix issue. I have a support ticket going on this again...

I originally used that fix on 4.02, but after updating to 4.03 everything appears to still be working.

I haven't yet tried to record in 4.03, though, so I don't know if the latency has improved.

it works on mine too, unless my sample rate on my audio interface is set to anything else except 44,100..like if I was working with DAW and it's set to 48,000 then go back to desktop it's stays at 48,000. Unless I remember to change back to 44,100 when I open AT 4 it won't load asio driver no matter what I do...Like I said before I used system restore, but if I just uninstall version 4.03 then install 4.02 things seem OK...it's funny. I'm using a Roland Octa Capture on a windows 10 system 64 bit and everything else works perfectly..

Did this issue ever get resolved?

Windows 10, Aplitube 4.0, Focusrite ASIO. No matter what I try, (44.1khz, 48khz etc in the Focusrite ASIO control panel) when ever I select the ASIO driver in Amplitube it prompts me to check input/output settings for the ASIO driver.

In Amplitube itself it doesn't offer any sample rates to select so I can match them up with the ASIO driver.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Jas, I just read your post again..so yours doesn't work with any version AT 4 or just with last release? I've had issues before and It was never really resolved. The way I managed to get version 4.02 to work was to just set sample rate to 44,100 in Amplitube 4 (standalone) and leave it. All my other software and system works fine including Amplitube 3. I hope it gets fixed because AT4 really sounds great.

Did you let IK Support know in your ticket that it didn't work? Or if you have not received a reply please supply your ticket number. Thank you.

Peter,

I reported this and got about 3 weeks ago...I wrote back again on Sept 29...still waiting for reply and still using version 4.02..which I have to use only at 44,100 in standalone mode as a workaround...but it works. Here is ticket number you asked for: #962162

Hi all.

Indeed, 4.02 solved the ASIO connection problem. Once I got my head around selecting the correct input/output channels and how they corresponded to my focusrite Scarlett Solo, I was all sorted.

By connecting the monitor out from the Focusrite to the AUX in on my wireless headset, I can even play along with Youtube tutorials etc.

Many thanks to Amplitube support (Jason), who responded quickly and pointed me in the right direction.

My last issue is, how come the Slash amps don't make me sound as good as him??? Hehehe

Rock on!
Jas.

We tried to get him to allow us to model his fingers and brain but it ended up creeping him out too much. :D
